Privacy Policy
StyleMaxx analyzes a single selfie you choose to provide, returns a personalized 5-card style report as a PDF, and then deletes the selfie. We designed the app around a strict zero-persistence promise — your photo is never stored on our servers and never lives past the moment your report is ready.
The short version:
- Your selfie is held in memory only while AI analysis runs (about 90 seconds).
- The selfie is deleted immediately after your report PDF is generated.
- The generated report PDF is delivered to your device's Files app and removed from our servers within 1 hour.
- We never train AI models on your photo. We never share it. We never sell it.
- No account, no email, no name required.
What we collect from your device
- One selfie photo you choose to capture or upload. Used exclusively to generate your personal style report. Held in temporary server memory during AI analysis, then permanently destroyed.
- Onboarding quiz answers (multi-select chips about your style goals). Stored locally on your device only.
- App preferences and saved report PDFs. Stored locally on your device only.
What we collect via third parties
- Purchase records via the Apple App Store. Apple processes one-time in-app purchases for the $19.99 style report (and loyalty-discounted re-purchases). We do not see your card details.
- Anonymous purchase identifiers via RevenueCat, which manages purchase state and entitlement on our behalf. RevenueCat receives an anonymous device-scoped UUID we generate. It is not linked to your name, email, or other device identifiers we control.
- AI generation workload via fal.ai. When you tap "Unlock Full Report," your selfie is securely forwarded to fal.ai's image-generation API solely to produce your 5-card report. fal.ai does not retain your selfie or generated cards beyond what is required to complete the request. We use their managed nano-banana-pro model.
- Anonymous crash and diagnostic data via Apple's built-in crash reporting. No selfie data, no identifying information.
What we do NOT collect
- No name, no email, no phone, no address — there is no account to create.
- No HealthKit, fitness, or health-platform data.
- No precise or coarse location.
- No contacts, microphone, or video access.
- No advertising identifiers. No ad tracking. No third-party analytics SDKs.
- No persistent copy of your selfie. Once your report is generated, the selfie is gone.
Why we ask for camera and photo library access
- Camera access is requested only when you tap "Take your selfie." We use it once per analysis to capture your photo. We never run the camera in the background.
- Photo library access is optional — you can use it to pick an existing selfie instead of taking a new one. We only read the single photo you select.
- Your selfie never auto-uploads. Nothing leaves your device until you tap "Unlock Full Report" and complete a purchase.
How your data is used
- To analyze your facial features (skin undertone, hair color, eye color, face shape, contrast) and produce a personal style report.
- To deliver the report PDF to your device's Files app.
- To unlock the report after a successful one-time in-app purchase.
- To improve the app via anonymous crash reports.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use your photo to train AI models.
Data retention
- Selfie: deleted from memory the moment your 5-card report is ready (typically within 90 seconds of upload).
- Generated report PDF: deleted from our servers within 1 hour after you save it to your device's Files app, or immediately on request via "Delete all data" in the You tab.
- Anonymous purchase identifier (RevenueCat): retained as long as needed to honor your loyalty discount and restore purchases on the same device.
- Anonymous cost ledger (for billing and abuse detection): retained 90 days, then permanently deleted.

- Cloudflare — Workers infrastructure, R2 temporary file storage (1-hour lifecycle)
Children
StyleMaxx is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help you delete any associated data.
Your rights
- Access: all your saved reports live on your device in the Files app. Open the StyleMaxx app's "Library" tab to see them.
- Export: share or move any report PDF using iOS's built-in Share Sheet.
- Delete: tap "Delete all data" in the You tab to remove every report from your device and clear any anonymous identifier we hold. Or delete the app entirely — there is nothing on our servers tied to you.
- No subscription to cancel. StyleMaxx is one-time purchase only. You will never be charged on a recurring basis.
International transfers
Where applicable, RevenueCat, fal.ai, and Cloudflare may process anonymous identifiers and your selfie (in transient memory only) in the United States and other regions. Their privacy policies (linked above) govern those transfers.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top and surface a notice in the app on next launch.
